Another Finished Fish Quilt (and More)

A few days ago I finished the first Fish Quilt. Here's the other one. Again, it was pieced by another guild member, but I did the quilting and added the binding. No cute fish patterns in my quilting this time. I took the opportunity to practice a new pattern that I then used on Antioxidant Delight. I'm so pleased to have two completed quilts to return to the next SCVQA meeting next week.

Crossing off a couple finishes afforded me to feeling that I could make some progress on my wonky blocks that I started in July. In the past couple days I've gotten 11 more blocks done. (I don't even want to do the math on how many need to be made total... a lot!) Anyway, here they are. Don't expect a finish on these guys any time soon. :-)

Oh, and I ran across this cute, free printable Quilt Progress Tracker. It does beg the question, fellow bloggers... do you usually wash your quilt before or after you photograph it for your blog?

I've linked up to WIP Wednesday at Freshly Pieced.

I'm linking up to Finish Along Quarter 3 Finish Party. Here is my full list of Q3 Finish Along Goals.

Thanks. She did a great job choosing fun fabrics. I love both of the fish quilts due to their brightly colored fabrics -- I especially like the dots. :-)

Thank you, but the only fabric I can take credit for on the fish quilt is the binding. :-) Another guild member pieced the quilt top.

  1. I always wash them before I photograph them. For one thing, I write all over them with washable marker: order of assembly, quilting guidlines, etc. Also, I think they look much better washed and crinkly.
