Grow Your Blog and Blogiversary Giveaway

Hello! If you're here for the first time, I'm Sarah. I just celebrated my first blogiversary, I love quilting and I'm totally drawn to bright, bold colors. This blog began as a way for me to share my projects, both quilty and otherwise, and has morphed into a primarily quilting and sewing blog. Cookie decorating and other posts are pretty rare now. Here are some of my favorite quilt finishes.

Candy Shoppe - I'm SO in love with this one. Okay, so it took me ELEVEN years to finish it, but look at all that wonderful color. Go ahead, click through for some awesome closeups that show the details!

Schnitzel & Boo Mini Swap - This was the second quilt I paper-pieced, cause aren't those envelopes so fun!? I plan on making many more for myself. And for others. (Maybe for my next giveaway!)

The Purple Quilt - Purple is certainly my favorite color. This quilt was the result of a purple fabric swap (how could I pass that up!?) I participated in years ago. It just makes me smile to see it around the house and I love that my kids enjoy using it as a dance floor.

Frieda - While this one isn't actually one of my favorite quilts, the story of why I named a quilt Frieda is still hilarious to me.

You can see (almost) all of my finished quilts in my gallery.

In honor of Grow Your Blog and my One-Year Blogiversary, I'm holding my first giveaway. Please comment below for your chance to win this Blogiversary Scrap Attack mini quilt. Anyone may enter (limit of one comment per person). The winner will be selected randomly on February 15th. The quilt is a 12" by 12" mini quilt, suitable for wall hanging, decorating a table top, or using as a mug rug (think giant coaster or small placemat, just big enough for a little snack and your tea or coffee). The pattern is Scrap Attack by Diane Bohn at From Blank Pages. Please note, I always reply to blog comments, but due to the nature of the giveaway, I won't be able to reply to everyone. Please feel free to email me at sarah@goer.org. :-)

Update: The giveaway has ended.

  10. I love colour too (which is why I like crazy quilting so much). Your purple quilt is wonderful because it's one of my favourite colours. If I happened to be lucky enough to win your giveaway there would be no possible way it would ever be used near food or drink because I'm a notorious slop!! Thank you for having us over to visit with you.

I commented on your lovely planets, thinking I was on the post with the envelopes! Again, I think the envelopes are a great way to showcase fabric that gets a little creepy when you have a lot of it staring you down in the night.

Thanks, Jennifer. Now I just keep seeing more and more things that I just want a 5" square of to feature in an envelope block.

I just love looking at what you create. A winner winner chicken dinner mini quilt would look awesome on my gallery wall.
