It's been a year of colorful minis. I've participated in quite a few swaps. At the moment I'm only signed up for one in 2016. I'm going to try to resist joining a bunch in favor of some larger finishes in the coming months. As a quick review of 2015, I'm sharing my five most visited 2015 blog posts here.

Your Sew My Stash Mini Quilt Swap just got another view. Somehow I missed it. I so appreciate the way you combine colors and fabrics. I've never seen that fabric before that has the squares within squares. It reminds me of millefiori squares I've used in mosaic projects. Great recap of your minis.

Post authorThank you, Mary. I play with my fabric a lot. Making piles of stuff I like together. Sometimes it becomes a project (like my swoon, which produced the sew my stash HSTs). Sometimes it doesn't. :-)

Post authorThank you, Helen. They are two of my favorites, too. The text dresden is mine. I made myself a copy when I was making the swap mini to send away. I'd love to make a whole quilt of envelope blocks. They are 6" finished, I think... so that's a lot of blocks necessary for any size. We'll see. ;-)

Post authorAww... thank you, Mel. Working on finishing that Midnight Mystery quilt, first and foremost. Was initially thinking about an all over quilting pattern, but wonder if I should try for something more detailed. Alas, I'm ahead of myself, as there's still quite a bit of piecing necessary to finish the quilt top first. :-)

I've been mulling over some quilting designs (especially since I used all solids that will make the quilting really pop!!). Can't wait for the January instructions to see the final quilt top assembly instructions!!
