It's been a few months since I've joined in for Color Play Friday. I decided to participate for this Beach Days picture (taken by Sarah at 123 Quilt) because there are so many colors to choose from. We don't see anyone else's palette until the day we all post, so it will be interesting to see what people choose. My palette was chosen from the colors on the chair on the right, with the darker blue coming from the ocean.
I created my palette with Palette Builder 2.1 by Play Crafts.

I love how your bundle is just a bit more subdued, but still has that bright feeling. Great job!

Post authorThat just kind of happened. There's so much variance in the colors in the chair (and the whole photo). I was drawn to the bright colors in the chair, but I was working on mobile, so I had a hard time picking the spot that was the brightest version of each color. That said, I'm happy with how it played out.

Oh wow! I love your palette! I'm going to have to save this one as inspiration for a future quilt. I thought about focusing on that chair too but I just couldn't resist the rest of the photo. With that much color it was like being a kid in a candy store.
