A few days ago I finished the first Fish Quilt. Here's the other one. Again, it was pieced by another guild member, but I did the quilting and added the binding. No cute fish patterns in my quilting this time. I took the opportunity to practice a new pattern that I then used on Antioxidant Delight. I'm so pleased to have two completed quilts to return to the next SCVQA meeting next week.

Crossing off a couple finishes afforded me to feeling that I could make some progress on my wonky blocks that I started in July. In the past couple days I've gotten 11 more blocks done. (I don't even want to do the math on how many need to be made total... a lot!) Anyway, here they are. Don't expect a finish on these guys any time soon. :-)

Oh, and I ran across this cute, free printable Quilt Progress Tracker. It does beg the question, fellow bloggers... do you usually wash your quilt before or after you photograph it for your blog?

Back in May and June I really enjoyed the American Made Brand Blog Tour. I'm really excited about their new line of 100% American made cotton solids. I was inspired to participate in their Farm to Fabric Challenge and ordered an assortment of their fabrics. This is the first quilt I've made that I designed in advance (on paper... I really think I might need to invest in EQ7... who's used it? who loves it?) before I created it. I did rework it a bit as I was piecing, and there might still be some things I'd change, but I'm very happy with the results. I'm such a procrastinator! It took me right up until the final hours to get it finished up and submitted. Can anyone else relate to that? I had so much fun working on this and it was killing me to not be able to share my progress along the way... but I found out on Friday that my quilt was not one of the 20 chosen for the show, so now I get to show it to you! Without further ado, I give you, Antioxidant Delight...

Antioxidant Delight (named by Marji!) measures 32" by 32" and is made entirely out of American Made Brand Solids. I pieced it with Aurifil and free motion quilted with Isacord. Colors I used: Lime (18), Olive (24), Dark Green (22), Forest (113), Periwinkle (85), Purple (27), Dark Purple (28), Dark Eggplant (46), Dark Indigo (96), Orange (36), Dark Orange (37), Dark Rust (72). It was backed with Dark Brown (16) due in large part to it being the color I had a piece large enough to back without needing to do any piecing. And a bunch of process pictures:

Thanks for looking. I'm linking up on Sew Cute Tuesday, Show and Tell Tuesday and TGIFF at Sew Fresh Quilts.

Yesterday I finished a quilt! Woo! (Now, can I finish another one without starting something new?)

This quilt was pieced by another guild member. I picked it up from the philanthropy table... a while ago. :-/ I did the quilting and added the binding. It will be returned at this month's SCVQA meeting. Next on the quilting to do list is to add the binding to the other philanthropy fish quilt. Then I should focus on my ALYoF goal for the month.

I'm linking up on Fabric Frenzy Friday and TGIFF.
